The burger was perfectly cooked, with the melted cheese oozing out in every bite so flavorful and satisfying! Be careful the cheese is extremely hot as you bite in! It's hands down one of the best burgers I've had for someone who prefers their burgers black and blue temperatures lol. They take the juicy Lucy and put their own spin on it. We ordered the saucy sally and the roadhouse versions. The sauce on my roadhouse juicy Lucy was absolutely delicious and was great on the burger and the fries. The fries are perfectly crisp and lightly salted. The saucy sally was also pretty good just super messy to eat. So be prepared for a messy meal but a delicious one. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. They really know how to make you feel at home. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a chance to try the iconic Juicy Lucy, look no further. I can't recommend this spot enough and will definitely be back for more if I'm ever in the area again! They have their own parking lot which makes parking super easy and their prices really are great. ”

“ This is a popular place to have a beer and a juicy Lucy (cheese stuffed burger). They have been around a long time. Service Fast and efficient even on Friday and Saturday. Servers are quick and attentive. Atmosphere Typical bar and restaurant noise. TV with the game on. Casual jeans and t-shirt crowd. Menu Simple menu and limited to bar like foods. Go for the Saucy Sally which is juicy and has lots of onions if you like moist burgers. I like their ranch with onion rings. Seating High top, tables and chairs, and booths. Alcohol Beers and IPAs. I am not a drinker so I can't attest to this category but they have limited options which can make most Midwest guys happy based on my boyfriend's drink experience. “ As a burger joint, 5-8 Club does a wonderful job offering quality burgers for an economical price, considering that their burgers are pretty big in size with an abundant amount of fries. I ordered two types of juicy lucy burgers and I thought they both tasted very good, and I would definitely return again if I am looking for good burgers. Cheese definitely started making a difference in determining both the texture and the taste, and the beef was cooked to perfection, with not only tons of juice but also a good amount of flavor, to the point of not needing any sauce at all, not even ketchup or mustard, which was very nice. I will say, though, that the burgers I have had are making me define this establishment as a top notch burger spot rather than specifically a juicy lucy place, mainly because I see a juicy lucy burger as a "one version" type of item, and since I have actually had cheese-stuffed burgers elsewhere in not only Minnesota but also the whole country, I am starting to question the uniqueness of the concept of "juicy lucy" and as of now, can only see 5-8 Club as a burger joint. Maybe it's because the influence of juicy lucy has impacted the country, though. One note is that if one lives around the area and receives Valpak mail, chances are, one might notice 5-8 Club coupons. Those will take $5 off and I would recommend people using them for sure. ”

“ I came here during my interview at the U of M. Wanted to try a juicy lucy. Found this place that was close to the airport. It was first juicy lucy I've had and it was pretty good. Never had I had a burger with cheese stuffed in the middle. I dont remember much of anything else, but liked the juicy lucy. Fries were okay I think. It was my first intro to juicy lucy so I had nothing to compare it to. Heard they were one of the first, so had to try them out. ”

There is a free parking lot in front of the building, overflow parking is located across the street. Amelia was an attentive server and the restaurant was clean. “ Been on a hunt trying to find a good juicy lucy and this hit the spot!! Out of all the places I've been to this has to be my favorite. I came on a Friday night for dinner and there was no wait. I was seated right away and the waiter came out and greeted my friend and I quickly. Also note that there is parking!! I got the roadhouse burger. This included stuffed with American cheese and topped with our 5-8 sauce, bacon and an onion ring. Everything about this was so good!! When I bit into the burger, all the cheese popped out and it tasted amazing. The meat, bacon, cheese all went well together. I do like onion rings but I ate that separately as it was too big to bite it all together. The portion is quite large. I didn't finish it all so I took some home. The fries were crispy and salty. This place is a must try!! The workers were so sweet and nice. The food took a little long to come out but it was nice looking at the decor inside and how ancient it all looked. If you want a good juicy lucy, this is your place! ”

“ On my first visit to 5-8 Club, I had a good experience. 5-8 Club is a popular local establishment that is known for originating the 'Juicy Lucy' burger. (Although there is a debate as to who came up with the juicy Lucy burger concoction first). You can read about them on the back of their menu. Upon my arrival, I was promptly seated. Soon after, the server came to take my order. I requested a bit more time as I was having a tough time making a decision about which burger to get. I asked my server what she would recommend for a first timer to their restaurant, and she recommend to go with their classic juicy Lucy burger. So, I went with that and ordered a blue cheese stuffed juicy Lucy (instead of the other cheese options) with a side of slaw and a pint of local beer. My beer, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, came out first, and then the classic juicy Lucy with the side of cole slaw. The beer was refreshingly delicious. Although I am not an IPA guy, I liked this one as it wasn't too hoppy. The burger was well cooked. It was filling. My choice of blue cheese for stuffing the burger turned out to be not so good as it didn't taste as good as I had hoped, but it was still a tasty burger. The slaw was a good side to have instead of fries. Overall, I had a nice experience and received good service. The food was expensive. A beer and burger cost me over $20. But for my first visit and an experience to try, supposedly the OG juicy Lucy spot, it was worth it. If you haven't been here before, then check them out. ”
